The city of Powell River (Teeskwat) is located on the traditional territory of the Tla’amin Nation. At the heart of the Malaspina Peninsula, Powell River lies along the shores of the Salish Sea.

Some of BC's best unspoiled natural beauty can be found here -- from lakes and ocean to forests and mountains.

See Tourism Powell River's website.

With a resident population of about 13,943 and an additional 6,000+ people who live within the surrounding qathet Regional District, Powell River is the largest community on the Sunshine Coast. The name “qathet” was gifted to the Regional District by Tla’amin Nation Elders and means “working together”.
