FEATURED ACCORDION FEST 2025 PERFORMER: ANTHONY SCHULZ
As a seasoned performer, Anthony has graced the stage with numerous highly acclaimed ensembles and projects, from Luciano Pavarotti to ECM's Barre Phillips, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and ARIA award-winning Zulya and the Children of the Underground.
His accolades include an ARIA Award in 2007 for collaboration with Zulya and the Children of the Underground. Beyond awards, Anthony holds key roles as the Committee Chair of Victoria's iconic multicultural music organization, The Boite, and President of the Accordion Society of Australia in Victoria.
Anthony's impact extends to education, with a rich teaching career since the early 1990s, progressing from studio teaching to secondary and tertiary education. Currently a lecturer in the Bachelor of Music program at Melbourne Polytechnic, Anthony also provides private Piano Accordion lessons tailored to each student's unique qualities, emphasizing a rich musical and educational experience. His influence resonates not only in captivating performances but also as a guiding force in musical education.
FEATURED ACCORDION FEST 2025 PERFORMER: RONEN SEGALL
Ronen Segall is an accomplished accordionist based on Vancouver Island, where he lives with his wife and two children. For over 20 years, he has been teaching the accordion online, helping students worldwide deepen their understanding of this expressive instrument, well beyond simply reading notes on a page. In addition to his work as an educator, Ronen has recorded and performed with numerous bands, showcasing his versatility and passion for music across a variety of styles.
